August is here! Can you believe it?! Michelle (Smitten with First) and I are so excited about our newest addition to our Preschool/Kindergarten Math & Literacy Units! These have been a huge help and so much fun for our homeschool preschool routine. Below are the activities we’ll be using this August from our School Themed Unit!
One of my favorite things about this particular unit is that all of the activities are school supply themed. While we’ll be using them as back to school activities, the clipart makes them perfect for all year long!

Counting and Operations Activities
There are SO many hands-on Math activities in this set! LG especially loves the activities that involve choosing her one cards and building amounts. She thinks she’s playing her own little board game! These activities are perfect for practicing counting to 10, identifying numbers to 10, comparing numbers, and informal addition and subtraction!
Shapes and Colors Activities
We are going to have so much fun with these shapes and colors activities! We’ll be practicing color identification, matching colors to their color words, shapes tracing, shapes matching, and shapes building! These skills includes tons of fine motors practice, too!
One thing I want to focus on more with LG are her letter names and sounds. Counting? She’s solid. Numbers and Shapes? Totally cool. But I’ve been slacking a bit when it comes to letters. Not this Summer! These activities are SO much fun!! I know that she’s especially going to have a blast with the cloud letters activity!
More Fine Motors Fun
With these final activities we’ll be practicing more fine motors, patterns, working on LG’s name, and pre-writing skills!
