Halloween Math and Literacy Centers for Transitional Kindergarten Learners

Who is ready for Halloween fun?? We don’t really do “spooky” Halloween around here, so these hands-on activities are a great option! Add TONS of Halloween fun for your little learners who are ready for a little more challenge during their learning time without adding any scariness! Michelle (Smitten with First) and I had a blast putting these Halloween Math and Literacy centers together for you all, and we hope you absolutely love them!

Counting & Number Activities

Little learners will practice counting to 10, subitizing, representing numbers to 10, tracing numbers, and number words in a variety of hands-on centers!

Operations

Are your upper-Preschool and Transitional Kindergarten kiddos ready for some higher skills? We’ve got you covered with these hands-on, developmentally appropriate activities for practicing comparing numbers, addition and subtraction!

Shapes & Colors Activities

We are going to have so much fun with these shapes and colors activities! We’ll be practicing color identification, matching colors to their color words, shapes tracing, shapes matching, and shapes building! These skills includes tons of fine motors practice, too!

Patterns, Measurement & Graphing

If you’re a sensory bin lover like we are, these activities make the PERFECT sensory bin companions! Your littles will love being able to use their sensory bin manipulatives to practice building patterns, recording graphs, and measuring Halloween objects!

Alphabet Activities

There are so many fun letters and sounds activities this month! From identifying letters and sounds, to building and tracing letters, so many ages and stages have something fun to work on!

Other Literacy Centers

Ready for even more challenging Literacy skills? These centers give your little learners developmentally appropriate ways to practice skills like counting syllables, spelling Sight Words, and spelling CVC words!

More Fine Motors Fun

With these final activities we’ll be practicing more fine motors skills while building Halloween images and practicing their name!
