Easter is quickly approaching and we can’t wait! We have so many fun things planned for the week leading up to Easter Sunday, but one our favorite’s is our Easter Bible study!
This Bible study covers the days leading up to Jesus’ death, His crucifixion, and His resurrection. It includes lots of hands-on activities to keep your little ones engaged while also studying the important content of Mark 14-16!

Included In This Study
Each day in all of our Bible studies include the same rhythm and the same types of activities. This helps children get comfortable with the Bible study routine, especially if the study is over a topic that’s new or challenging for them. Our Easter Bible study follows the same rhythm!
Daily Reading
While the rest of our Bible studies in our curriculum include 6 days of reading, our Easter Bible study includes 8 days! We just felt like studying Easter is SUCH an important topic, and central to our belief in the Gospel.
Each daily reading passage gives you the Scripture reference so that you can choose which translation to study with as you read with your family or class.
Discussion & Journal Prompts
After reading each day, you’ll find a discussion/journal prompt! As a family, we like to discuss the passage we read and then choose how to use the prompt. Ex. Older children may be more equipped to use this as an individual journal time while younger children will need to discuss the prompt aloud with an adult.
Hands-On Activities
We couldn’t have a The Stay-at-Home Teacher Bible study without hands-on activities, now could we?? After reading and discussing the day’s passage, children will review what they read with a variety of activities. From cut-and-paste printables to sensory bin and vocabulary matching centers, there’s so much to choose from!
Weekly Memory Verse
One of my favorite parts of our Bible studies is our memory verse for the week. Each study, including this Easter Bible study, includes printables for memorizing a key verse to help children internalize the meaning of the Bible story.
How To Use
Beginning on Palm Sunday, we will spend 8 days studying Mark 14-16. Each day includes a passage to read, journal and discussion prompts, and a hands-on activity! We read from both our Jesus Storybook Bible and our ESV Bible. However, this resource only includes Scripture references so your family is free to use whichever Bible translation you prefer!
