I don’t know about you, but it’s often easier for me to focus on sharing Jesus with LG than it is for me to focus on spending time with Him myself. Thankfully, I’ve come across lots of amazing Bible study resources that are perfect for busy mommas who want to spend more time with Jesus.

The Basics

The most important place to start when gathering Bible study resources is a Bible that allows you to study in whatever way is most effective for you. There are so many to choose from out there including study Bibles, Bibles that include space for illustrating, and journal Bibles. My personal favorite is a journaling Bible because I like taking notes directly in my Bible. That way when I come back to read a passage again, I can always look back at my notes.

The next resources I gather are my writing tools. I LOVE these Frixion pens because they’re erasable! I feel so much more comfortable with writing in my Bible if I know I can erase mistakes. I also grab these gel highlighters. They are my favorite because they never bleed through the pages!

Bible Studies

If you’ve followed me on Instagram for any period of time, you probably know how in love I am with these Bible studies from The Daily Grace Co. My favorite part about these studies is that each one studies a book of the Bible. This has really helped me to understand the big picture of each book instead of just reading a few verses here and there on a certain topic.

These studies are great for busy mommas because the daily reading assignments are very manageable. And often times, I’m so intrigued by the study that I’ll do several days at a time! They’re just SO good!

Chrstian Books

Devotionals and Companions

The best thing my husband has encouraged me to do in my studying is to rely on Scripture first, seek clarification from studies second, and lean on devotionals and companions for support third. Often times we can spend way more time reading books OTHER than the Bible in our “Bible study” time.

These following books are some of the best I have EVER read. Ruth Chou Simons has such an incredible way with words in Gracelaced and Beholding & Becoming. I’m always encouraged to continue the important work of the home from Glory in the Ordinary. And the sisters from Risen Motherhood speak to my heart on a million levels with their book titled after their ministry. All of these books have brought so much encouragement to my life, and I recommend them ANY time I get the chance!
