The 4th of July is here and we are SO excited to celebrate! We’ve got some fun school goodies to add to our week of celebrating, and I can’t wait to get started with all of these patriotic books and activities for little learners! PS These activities are also GREAT for holidays like Veteran’s Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, and others!

Patriotic Themed Preschool Centers
We are loving our patriotic activities for toddlers and preschoolers! This set includes 15 hands-on, printable activities in color and black/white. Your little ones will love practicing common Preschool skills like counting, colors, shapes, and more! Each center in the unit can be adapted for little ones ages 2-5 and include tons of fine motor skills practice!
This PLANNED FOR YOU theme includes a week of patriotic themed lesson plans! Each day your little learner will hear one weather read aloud, practice a Math skill, review a Literacy skill, and strengthen their fine motor skills. We love to use this theme for Summer and other patriotic holidays!
Patriotic Sensory Bin
We love sensory bins! I just can’t ever pass up a great opportunity to put together some fun sensory bin activities to match our different themes! And as LG gets older, our collection of academic sensory bins grows!
This sensory bin is the perfect addition to your patriotic theme! To build it, I filled a storage container (with a GOOD lid) with a couple of bags of dry white beans. I like to grab these at Dollar Tree! Then I added red, white, and blue pompoms (can also be found at Dollar Tree) and a big handful of puffy 4th of July star stickers from Hobby Lobby!
Using this bin with your patriotic books and activities adds such a fun twist, making the activities feel more like games than learning activities!
Patriotic Matching Mats
Once you’ve built a patriotic sensory bin, your little one is going to be so obsessed! If you want to take this bin and expand its uses, consider adding engaging sensory bin activities like our patriotic matching mats! Matching mats were some of the very first activities I introduced when my oldest was a teeny little kiddo. They make a great way for children to learn new vocabulary and practice visual discrimination!
Patriotic Preschool Worksheets
Some of our favorite activities each month are our themed worksheets. Using worksheets with preschoolers may sound a little odd, but LG LOVES these practice pages! All of the pages include coloring, cutting, gluing, tracing, and more! That way your kiddos are combining fine motor skills practice with academic skills! Patriotic Fine Motor Printables
