Snowballs Count and Trace
This free Winter activity is one of our favorite ways to practice counting and tracing numbers! To play, children choose a snowball card from their sensory bin (or not if you’re not interested in using sensory bins!). Children count the snowballs on the card they chose and trace the corresponding number on the recording sheet. Keep going until all of the numbers are traced!
Subitizing Roll and Cover
Subitizing, or recognizing number representations, is such an important skill for building Math fluency! To play this game, students roll their dice. Then, count the snowballs in the snow globe and cover a matching number representation on the mat!
Penguin Shapes Roll and Cover
Can you tell we love Roll & Cover activities? They truly turn school work in a game, which is perfect for engaging little learners! To play this Free Winter activity, students roll the shape dice and cover a penguin shape to match. Continue rolling and covering until all of the snowballs are covered!
Letters A-E Color by Code
Your little learners will love this free Winter color by code activity! To use, students choose a letter and it’s color crayon. Then, find and color all of the numbers their corresponding color. Once they’re finished, the Winter picture will be revealed!
These activities make great crafts to display (cut out the completed picture), and we love using them during our Morning Basket time to keep the little ones engaged at the table while we read our other subjects like history and Bible!
