6 FREE Spring Resources

Spring is here! So let’s celebrate with some FREEBIES, shall we?? Click any of the images in this post to grab them for free!

Counting Cards

Now, these aren’t explicitly “Spring” counting cards BUT they are so much fun to use any time of the year! For this version we used our favorite Starburst jelly beans! (Momma Tip – We always save this activity for the afternoon and generally only count 1-5 when using a candy manipulative.)

Peeps Subitizing

These cute little peeps are part of Michelle and my PreK/Kinder Math & Literacy Unit for April! We wanted to make sure y’all have a freebie to test out the unit first, and this activity is so much fun for practicing with your littles! Students match Peep number tops to subitizing bottoms. Then, record the numbers on their recording sheet!

Easter Egg Rhymes

If you’re new around here, you may not know that I’m a contributing writer for the blog The Letters of Literacy! Every month, we put out TONS of free resources to help you build your little ones’ literacy! My newest activity is this fun Easter Egg Rhyming!

To play, students take turns finding Easter eggs with matching long vowel words. Then, they record their pairs!

Easter Eggs CVC & Beginning Sounds

Here’s another fun Easter egg activity I put together for The Letters of Literacy! For this sensory bin, students match pictures to their CVC words OR to their beginning sounds. This set is super easy differentiate for varying levels!

Spring ABC Order

ABC order is a skill we were always working on in my 1st grade classroom! For this freebie, students practice putting 10 Spring themed words in ABC order. Then they record their words on the recording sheet. For additional assessment, this set also includes a cut-and-paste practice page!

Easter Basket Story Elements Craftivity

This Reading craftivity is one of my absolute favorite crafts! Not only is it super fun and NO PREP, it works with any Spring or Easter book you choose! All of my Reading craftivities are available in both color AND black/white options!

I hope these FREE Spring themed activities help you and your kiddos celebrate this new season! If you have any questions about these resources or any others, feel free to email me or send me a direct message on Instagram!
