Rain Showers Count & Build
“Count and build” activities are such a fun way to help kiddos practice counting in a hands-on way! To use this free Spring activity, children choose a raindrop number card and identify the number of raindrops on the card. Then they’ll use manipulatives, like these handy little vase fillers I found at Dollar Tree, to build the correct number of raindrops on the mat!
One thing I love about hands-on activities like this one is that is can be used in a variety of ways! Another way I like to use this activity with my little ones is by taking the number cards and using the raindrops on them to help us place the numbers in order from least to greatest. This is an excellent way to give children a visual of the amounts growing as the numbers increase!
Color by Code Q-V Printable
Color by code activities are so much fun, and this free Spring page is no exception! To use, children practice locating letters Q-V on their worksheet and color them by the provided code. I love watching my little one finally recognize what the mystery picture is as she works! Color by code printables are especially helpful activities for children who are focusing more on letter identification rather than letter formation. If writing and tracing letters are still a little frustrating for your little learners, color by code sheets are a great way to keep them excited about their practice!
Build-a-Flower Center
There are SO many fun ways to practice important skills like fine motors, and this free Spring activity is one of my favorites! To use, children choose flower parts from their sensory bin and build flowers according to their preference!
And of course there are so many other ways to use this printable! Help children count the number of petals on their flowers, discuss the plant parts they’re using as they build, sort colors – you name it!
