I love “the month of love”, February, y’all. January is helpful for starting new habits and routines. But by the time February rolls around, I feel like we’re really sinking into our rhythms and the stress of “newness” wears off.

February is also a month FULL of fun thematic unit options! There are lots of cover, so today I’m sharing our favorite February Preschool themes in our February Preschool Curriculum. I hope these activities bring lots of fun to your learning time!

Morning bins are a great way to wake up little brains, or even replace morning cartoons if you’re looking to minimize screen time. I like to spend a minute before bed setting up a morning bin at our kitchen table (where we do the majority of our homeschool time), or on our coffee table.

Our Valentine’s Day set includes 6 bins that can be used in 2 ways, giving you 12 different activities! Children can choose a card from their bin and match it on top of their answer (as shown below). Or, they can choose a card from their bin and color their answer on their recording sheet.

Our bundle February Preschool themes includes 4 FULL weeks of themed lessons, PLUS 1 mini theme to use for a day or 2. The main 4 week-long themes serve as the base of our homeschool Preschool curriculum. Read on to see which themes we include in our February plans!

Groundhog Day is February 2! I was SO inspired to create some activities after my youngest snuggled with a fun groundhog book recently. But since I don’t see us dedicating an entire week to it, I turned it in to a mini theme! This mini set includes 2 Math, 2 Literacy and 2 Fine Motor activities – making it perfect for a one or two day theme! PLUS the smaller size makes it a nice, inexpensive way to test out our units!

Not only is February Oral Health Month, I feel like it’s always a good idea to revisit dental health topics right before super sweet holidays like Halloween and Valentine’s Day. Couldn’t we all use a little reminder to take care of our teeth while enjoying all the sugary goodness?? Ha!

This theme covers skills like counting, colors, shapes, letters, beginning sounds, and SO much more! In total, children will practice with 15 Dental Health themed preschool centers.

Of course we had to include a Valentine’s Day theme in our February Preschool curriculum! This theme covers skills like counting, colors, shapes, letters, beginning sounds, and SO much more! In total, children will practice with 15 Valentine’s Day themed preschool centers.

After Valentine’s Day, I have a hard time jumping straight to the next season. February is when we usually get our REALLY cold weather in North Texas. So moving ahead to Spring just doesn’t feel right… That’s why I came up with our Unicorn theme! It kind of continues our Valentine fun with colors like pink, purple, and red. But it’s all unicorn themed!

This theme covers skills like counting, colors, shapes, letters, beginning sounds, and SO much more! In total, children will practice with 15 Unicorn themed preschool centers.

I LOVE including an “anytime” theme here and there during our Preschool curriculum! It’s a great way to add in your child’s interests and mix things up. And if you decide you want to take this week off as a little late-Winter break, you can save this dinosaur theme and use it ANY TIME of the year!

This theme covers skills like counting, colors, shapes, letters, beginning sounds, and SO much more! In total, children will practice with 15 Dinosaur themed preschool centers.

No theme is complete without some super helpful, NO PREP worksheets! These 38 print-and-go pages are ink-saving, easy to use, and highly engaging! Children will practice TONS of Math and Literacy skills while tracing, coloring, cutting, pasting, and more!

I like to use these worksheets to review and assess skills we’ve been covering that month. But they also serve as great Morning Work activities if you need a simple way to practice!

This bundle of our February Preschool themes includes a full month of print and go visual lesson plans! This sheet tells you exactly which morning bins, centers theme, and worksheets to use each week.
