Every year on December 1, our family begins one of our favorite Advent resources – our Wandering Wisemen Bible study. One of my favorite things about this resource is that it has grown up LG from the time she was 2 years old! I tried to include lots of variety in resources so that your children of all ages can participate on their own levels. Choose from sensory bins, fine motor skills, practice, Scripture memory, and so much more!

In the past, I haven’t always been so great about making sure that I am studying Scripture for Advent just like I do with my daughter. So this year, that’s changing! I am SO excited to use these Advent resources from The Daily Grace Co.! I have loved SO many of their studies for years now, and am so excited to complete this Advent study!

Another Bible study “must-have” for our family is our Jesus Storybook Bible. This Bible is the sweetest way to introduce Scripture to your little learners. It does a wonderful job of conveying the stories in an age-appropriate way. And each story ties back to the main story of the Bible – Jesus’ love and sacrifice for His children. But beware – you may need to keep a box of tissues on hand as you read. Even as an adult, these stories touch my heart every single time I read them and I love using this as one of our Advent resources.

Including stickers in a collection Advent resources might sound odd. But friends – these stickers are one of the best resources we use all December! They’re perfect for practicing academic skills like pattern building, counting, comparing, and so much more. But they’re also an incredible tool for retelling the most important story your littles will hear! We LOVE using these every year!

For your littlest learners, sensory bins just can’t be beat! Not only do they work on fine motor skills and sensory experiences, they provide tons of opportunities to discuss and retell the subject of the bin! For this bin, I tossed a bunch of cotton balls in a container. Then I used LG’s Fisher-Price Nativity set and watched her play with the characters! “Playing” with them makes the story of Jesus’ birth so much more meaningful for littles, making our bin one of our most cherished Advent resources.
