Great Homeschool Preschool Routine for 3-4 Year Olds

One of my favorite things about homeschool preschool is the ability to pack so much learning into a small amount of time. Really, that’s a blessing with homeschooling any age! This school year LG is 3 and a half turning 4, so we’re ramping up our learning time just a bit! We’ll be focusing on 3 “school” days each week and using this homeschool preschool routine for 3-4 year olds!

Just like our homeschool routine for toddlers, I focus on 3 main areas at this age – Math, Literacy and Fine Motor. However, this year we add in some fun new activities like centers! It’s been so much fun to watch LG learn and grow while having TONS of fun!

Literacy Activity

We are still keeping it pretty simple this year and working on skills like letter recognition, letter formation, beginning sounds, etc.! I do everything I can to make sure that these activities are hands-on and engaging! We use manipulatives such as pompoms, sand, play dough, ABC stamps, magnets, shaving cream, and so much more!

All of these Literacy activities are included in our YEAR-LONG Preschool Math and Literacy center bundle! Click the button below to learn more about them and ALL 12 seasonal themes included!

Math Activity

Can you tell we LOVE Math activities?? Just like with our literacy activities, we have tons of fun learning about skills such as number formation, counting, representation, shapes, colors, etc. in fun and hands-on ways! We love all types of sorts, puzzles, games, and MORE!

All of these Math activities are included in our YEAR-LONG Preschool Math and Literacy center bundle! Click the button below to learn more about them and ALL 12 seasonal themes included!

Fine Motor Skills

Finally, we end our practice with some extra fine motor skills practice. Now you’ve probably noticed that fine motors practice is included in all of our literacy and math activities. So for this part of our learning time, I try to include a lot of free practice in addition to a few guided activities! This is when we bust out our favorite sensory bins for free time scooping and pouring, building with play dough, or crafts! Sometimes I include prompts but other times, anything is fair game!
